Walter in the Antelope Valley

The California State University Bakersfield Antelope Valley (CSUBAV) Library Resource Center (LRC) is the portal through which the Walter Stiern Library reaches out to more than 600 CSUBAV students. CSUBAV students are able to receive research help from our Distance Services Coordinator whose office is located at the site, use the journal databases, and request books be sent for student use from main campus. Additionally, a small reference collection and a substantial reserve collection are located in the LRC to support students in their studies. Thirty computers, a scanner, and a photocopier are available for students to use. Work and study space in the LRC allow students to work effectively in groups.
We are located in the new 500 building at the 30th Street West site in the Antelope Valley. The LRC shares space with the computer lab and the tutoring center to create an effective one-stop shop for students. Considerable effort has gone into making the CSUBAV LRC research and student friendly. That effort is rewarded on a regular basis by news of student academic success and reports from students who say that they couldn’t have done it without us!
